Collect your Police Certificate & Re-print your Police Certificate

Police Certificates may be reprinted within three months of issue in circumstances where the record was lost/misplaced, stolen, or damaged, or in error on the part of the applicant.

The Criminal Records Office Application Unit

Fingerprint identification is a form of biometrics, a science that uses people’s physical or biological characteristics to identify them.

Our Automated Biometric Identification System (AFIS) enables our member countries to share and compare fingerprints to identify any persons of interest. Launched in 2000, AFIS enabled countries to identify thousands of individuals, often in cases where false identities were used and biometrics were the only possibility to identify them.

I got there before they opened, around 7:45 am (they opened at 8:30 am), approx. 20 persons were there before me and I got through just before 9:30 am. The process was fairly quick and easy, I was pre-screened at the door and then again on the inside, I was fingerprinted then waited to get my date to pick up my results.   2. Identifying Discrepancies:

    • Flag the application in the system.

    • Prepare to reach out to the applicant for clarification or correction.

  3. Communication with the Applicant complains:

    • (3CX):

      • Make initial contact if urgent clarification is needed.

      • Use a polite, clear, and professional tone.

      • Document the summary and close out on 3cx, including time, date, and outcome.

    • Email:

      • Use CRO email when written clarification is preferable or if the applicant cannot be reached via phone.

      • Ensure the message is respectful, specific about the issue, and provides clear instructions on what is required.
